New! Gait Analysis - your feet are your body's foundation
Your feet carry you everywhere — this is your time to take care of them.
Your gait (the way you move) and your feet posture affect everything — from how your shoes feel to how your body posture work throughout the day.
Your feet are the foundation of your entire body. When they don’t move correctly, the rest of your posture must compensate. One of the most common issues is overpronation — when the foot rolls inwards more than it should. This small imbalance can trigger a chain reaction all the way up the body:
Feet & Ankles: The arches drop and the ankles tilt inwards, creating instability.
Knees: The knees begin to collapse inward, increasing pressure on joints and soft tissues.
Hips & Pelvis: Inward leg rotation affects hip alignment and can tilt the pelvis forward.
Lower Back & Spine: The spine compensates, often leading to tightness, discomfort or uneven posture.
Over time, this can contribute to foot pain, knee pain, hip tightness, lower-back discomfort and reduced performance during everyday movement.
A gait analysis identifies these imbalances before they develop into bigger problems.

Many posture and gait problems begin with wearing shoes that don’t match your true foot shape.
By using the Brannock Device, we can:
Identify your correct shoe size and width
Determine if your arch length matches your current footwear
Spot imbalances between your left and right foot
Recommend shoes that support your movement better
Reduce discomfort caused by tight, loose, or poorly fitting footwear
Using video and visual assessment, I look at your:
Foot strike pattern – heel strike, mid-foot strike, or forefoot loading.
Pronation & supination mechanics – how the foot rolls inward or outward during stance.
Arch behaviour under load – collapse, rigidity, or asymmetry.
Lower-limb alignment – tracking of the knees, hip stability, and pelvic control.
Pressure distribution indicators – areas of overload or under-use (visually assessed).
assesment findings are discussed during the appointment
